Congratulations on this newsletter. I found it to be very professional - having to convey a message which is not Calways palatable to the general populace. I thought it conveyed a good balance of seriousness and sensitivity." - CEO

work sample: When a Canadian provider of security services was purchased by an international corporation, employees across Canada faced new procedures, office consolidations and redundancies. Nandy joined a change management team to help employees understand strategies, build support for the changes and adjust successfully to new ways of working. Projects included CEO communications, internal newsletters and 'new ways of working' documentation.
work sample: A community-based health agency is getting ready to meet strict national accreditation standards. Nandy completed a communication audit in 2008 to help staff understand the strengths and weaknesses of current communications practices and how they compare to best practices outlined by the accreditation council.
work sample: Starting in 2005, Nandy was part of a 'virtual' team of representatives from private, public and non-profit organizations. The team built the Canadian response to the United Nations Year of Microcredit. Nandy was retained to project manage, plan and write content for www.microfinance.ca, a successful, bi-lingual website. The team won an international award at the United Nations in New York, NY, in late 2005.
work sample: Unfortunately, it often takes a corporate crisis or humanitarian disaster before people pay attention to smoldering issues. Nandy has gained in-depth knowledge of Toronto-based, national and regional Canadian media by securing hundreds of print, online and broadcast media mentions for a range of non-profits and professional services firms. She handled hundreds of media inquiries during a dozen humanitarian crises around the world and worked with senior journalists during the Enron and Parmelat crises.
work sample: A few years ago, a survey set up by an international accounting firm to provide thought-leadership for Canadian entrepreneurs became the foundation of an award-winning PR campaign. Project included a research digest, extensive website, direct mail and media relations work which generated coverage by Canadian Press, ROBTV, CBC radio, others. Nandy was a key member of the planning and implementation team.
work sample: When a communications employee at a national healthcare agency needed to leave work for an extended period of time, deadline pressures soon become overwhelming for remaining staff. Nandy was glad to provide a wide range of PR and writing services to fill the gap until a longer-term staffing solution could be found.
